LACEY, NJ — Lacey Township Significant School has gained the College or university Board AP Personal computer Science Woman Variety Award, the faculty announced in a push release.
LTHS was awarded for “attaining significant female representation in AP Computer Science Ideas,” the college stated. Universities with this award have expanded girls’ access in AP personal computer science courses. LTHS was just one of 760 in the AP Personal computer Science Rules (AP CSP) group to be awarded.
“We’re thrilled to congratulate our woman AP computer system science students and their academics on this phase toward gender parity in pc science training,” Dr. Vanessa Pereira Clark, Superintendent of Colleges, claimed in the release. “We’re honored that our school earned this distinction and seem ahead to looking at these young gals and others go after and attain good results in computer system science education and learning and occupations.”
“By encouraging youthful girls to study superior computer science coursework, Lacey Township Superior University is closing the hole in laptop or computer science education and learning and empowering younger girls to access the prospects obtainable in STEM career fields,” explained Stefanie Sanford, Higher education Board main of Worldwide Plan and External Relations. “Pc science is the basis of a lot of 21st- century occupation selections, and youthful females should have equal possibilities to go after pc science instruction and drive technological innovation.”
